Snacking Cutie – Part 1, Grayscale Sketching

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009 at 11:38 am by Jamie

In an attempt to improve my portfolio, we embark on a journey to paint a narrative portrait of two cuties. This is the first part where we lay out some sketchy lines and values. It looks like a train wreck now, but hopefully it’ll all pay off in the end.

Other videos in this series:

  • Part 2 – Background Grayscale Detailing
  • Part 3 – Cutie Grayscale Detailing
  • Part 4 – Initial Color Blocking
  • Part 5 – Custom Brushes and Cutie Colors
  • Part 6 – Squid Hat Detailing
  • Part 7 – Devil in the Details
  • Part 8 – Bloody Sock
  • Part 9 – Doing the Butt
  • Part 10 – FIN

You should look into making these Video Podcasts of some sort, that way I can watch them, leave and come back to them later without having to sit through ads and buffer and scroll search!

If you check out the sidebar, there’s a link to subscribe via iTunes. It’ll download episodes automatically to your iTunes so you can save them and watch them at home, full HD quality!
