Art & Copy, a Film About Advertising and Inspiration

Advertising is one of those strange fields that combines artfulness and crass commercialization to produce works that are either the worst or best expression of both. It permeates almost all aspects of our lives without us even noticing it. We can feel its influence in nearly everything we do. Art & Copy is a new documentary making the festival circuit that shines a light on the unknown people who have influenced our lives more than we might care to admit.

The film is making the rounds at smaller theaters and festivals. Check the schedule to see if it’s coming to a town near you. I hope it comes to DVD sometime soon because I don’t live near any of those places. I’d love to hear from the people behind these campaigns and what it takes to execute them.

How ironic, a video advertising a film about advertising. Well they sure know their business, I wanna see that film!
