Sharkie Cutie Attack – Using Highlights to Define Creases

This week, we focus on using highlights to define creases, wrinkles, and scratches as we paint this cute little Sharkie Cutie. We also discuss rendering light and shade with color. Enjoy!

At around 11:37, you mentioned that it’s hard to come up with clever things to say… Have you considered recording the video + audio in one pass, then watching it yourself and scripting / re-recording the audio in a second pass? Granted, it would take longer, but there would be less stress while drawing, you could use an outline or something to organize your thoughts, and if you went over your intended hour or so it would be easier to edit the video down to size.
…though it would also be more work-intensive, and way less informal.

I think working from a more detailed outline might help. I do kind of like keeping things spontaneous. I’ll keep tweaking it to see what works best.
